This contemporary interpretation of Shakepeare's Macbeth aims to highlight themes of political manipulation, abuse of military might, and the downward spiral of an anti-hero caught in the grips of egotism and power. As the ambitious young general Macbeth (Jeff Holden) and his second in command Banquo (William Jennings) heroically return home from the war; the two are confronted with a prophetic message from an Anderson Cooper-esque Reporter (Collins Reiter) which claims Macbeth will become the leader of the free world. Guided by his ever persuasive and politically savvy wife (Wallis Herst), Macbeth assassinates President Duncan (Megan Morrison) and assumes the role of Commander in Chief. As Macbeth's tyrannical leadership causes to chaos throughout the nation, Malcolm (Justin Bradshaw) and Macduff (JR Esposito) mount a campaign to dispose of the despot. While remaining true to the text, the production will explore Shakespeare's interpretation of a situation highly relatable to the political chaos in which the United States finds itself today.

Directed by Chris Jean and set in America in the years between the end of World War I and the start of the Great Depression, this Jazz Age production of Much Ado About Nothing sets out to capture the new individualism and pursuit of pleasure and enjoyment that came to define the Roaring Twenties. Just as the sexual and social politics of Shakespeare's time listed between traditional Catholic and emerging Reformation traditions, so too did the politics of America's Jazz Age push and pull between strict pre-war and pliable post-war values. As was Shakespeare's, it was an age in transition. And it is in this context that two friends, young Claudio and headstrong Benedick, find themselves on opposite ends on the see-saw, grappling with love and flirting with disaster...

Smeagol and Deagle are fishing by the river when Deagle finds a ring. Smeagol "strangles" deagle, and takes the ring. Deagle snatches it back after a couple seconds and Smeagol proclaims, "A LAMMA! You're supposed to be DEAD!". Deagle replies, "Shya, weird."
